Aesthetic Dentistry

The aim of aesthetic dentistry is to create artificial teeth in harmony with the person’s face, in a natural-looking color and shape. Artificial teeth with unnatural, exaggerated colors and forms are noticeable at first glance. Therefore, aesthetic dentistry requires a disciplined planning and preparation phase.

Laminate Coatings

Lamina porcelains are leaf porcelains made by removing 0.5-1 mm of tooth tissue from the front surface of the teeth without any abrasion or when necessary. Laminates are leaf porcelain veneers that can be made with little (0.5-1mm) or no abrasion from the front surfaces of the teeth. Thanks to their thinness, they have light transmittance and provide excellent aesthetics. It gives the most perfect result with the least damage in closing the gaps between the teeth or correcting the crowding. It gives extremely beautiful results, especially when it is made instead of fillings that disrupt aesthetics in the anterior region or when it is made instead of discolored teeth as a result of trauma or root canal treatment.
Laminated veneers, which require a fine workmanship, do not discolor and have a natural appearance. In front teeth with aesthetic problems, it is an aesthetic application performed by bonding a semi-permeable, thin layer of porcelain to the front surface of the teeth.

Zirconium Assisted Porcelain

These are porcelains that we get a more aesthetic appearance thanks to the white colored alloy used instead of metal for the substructure. Thus, your prosthesis reaches an aesthetic appearance very close to the natural tooth. It reflects light and does not reflect a dark line at the gum line because its substructure is made of white colored alloy. It is completely compatible with the human body and does not cause allergies.
Since zirconium-supported porcelains have a high resistance of 900 megapascals, they can be easily used even in the molars in the posterior regions. In addition to its strength, it is an advanced technology material that is aesthetic and elegant enough to transmit light.
The preparation procedures of zirconium-supported prostheses in the mouth are the same as their alternatives. The difference starts in the laboratory environment. These prostheses are made with computer-aided devices with Cad Cam technology. The measurements we take from the patient’s mouth are scanned with optical readers and shaped by the computer with untouched milling systems. The data created with the help of cameras are uploaded to the computer and the designs (Cad) are made and the production is started.

Full Porcelain Veneers (Empress)

They are made of reinforced porcelain without the use of metal or any other material in the substructure. Although natural teeth have light transmittance, metal-supported porcelains do not have such a feature. As a result, full ceramic porcelains without metal support have emerged. As a result of full ceramics being close to natural teeth in terms of light transmittance, a more vivid, natural and aesthetic appearance can be created.

Aesthetic Gingival Operations (Gingivoplasti)

We call a gummy smile when the gums appear too much during laughter to disrupt aesthetics. In such cases, gum operations are first planned to give the patient a beautiful smile. After the gingival level is brought to the smile line with this procedure, the teeth within the smile distance are covered with lamina porcelain or full ceramic porcelain. This operation is also used to lengthen the length of short teeth.

Bleaching

Teeth Whitening-Bleaching is the process performed to remove the discoloration that occurs in the internal structure of the enamel and dentin layers of the teeth for various reasons and to bleach the colors of the teeth. With this process, lightening up to 9-10 tones can be performed harmlessly. The substances used for teeth whitening are for professional use, do not use them outside the control of your dentist. Bacterial plaque accumulated on the teeth, staining due to tea, coffee and smoking are removed by tartar cleaning and polishing procedures to be performed during the examination. Then the teeth are ready for bleaching.
“TARTAR CLEANING AND BLEACHING ARE DIFFERENT PROCEDURES. THEY SHOULD NOT BE MIXED!”
Bleaching can be applied in two ways: Home Bleaching (home type) and Office Bleaching (clinic type).
