Root Canal Treatment

Root Canal Treatment

Endodontics is the branch of dentistry that deals with root canal treatment. Endodontic treatment is the process of draining, expanding, cleaning and filling the root canals. Teeth that require endodontic treatment usually have deep caries. In addition, mechanical and thermal traumas to the tooth may cause irreversible inflammatory reactions in the tooth and cause the need for root canal treatment.

Endodontic treatment is applied to each root of the tooth separately. Depending on the differences in the number of roots of the teeth and the stage of the infection, the type of our treatment, the drugs and disinfectants used and the number of sessions to be applied may vary.

Why Root Canal Treatment?

The living tissue (pulp) or, in other words, the nerves in the canals of the tooth do not have the ability to repair themselves like other tissues in the body. Therefore, if these tissues are inflamed, root canal treatment is required.

– Pain caused by chewing pressure, inability to step on the tooth
– Self-onset pain, especially at night
